Thinking of Becoming a Vendor?
We think about our vendors a great deal, we care that you also succeed at our games.
First you need to find out if you are the right fit for our Maine Highland Games & Scottish Festival.
Let me explain who we are and what we do.
For nearly 50 years the Saint Andrews Society of Maine a 501(c)3 has dedicated every August to the
Maine Highland Games & Scottish Festival.
Our mission is to promote our Scottish Heritage & Culture through our Customs, Arts, Music, Dance, Athletics, Food, Merchandise, Textiles, Clans, History, Family Research, Farming/Animals and their performance, reenact-ors, and so much more.
To Educate Future Generations!
So you can see what we do, you must ask yourself, do I fit in? For us the people we have must also in some way contribute or be part of what we do.
If we do not adhere to this, we start to lose who we are and who we are and what we do means a great deal to those who cherish our heritage and culture.
Food Vendors Read Below
We have a No Duplication Rule for our food vendors. Meaning you select the most important thing you are famous for and no one else is allowed to make it. So if you sell Fish & Chips, no one else can sell Fish & Chips.
We do not allow the NO Duplication Rule on everyday things like French fires, chicken tenders, non specialty drinks etc.
* Food vendors are the ONLY vendors that do not need to comply with Scottish Foods. We do have Food Vendors who make different things that are Scottish and we have Scottish Food Vendors. How ever it is impossible to obtain only Scottish Food Vendors as there are not enough around to feed the crowds. But the No Duplication Rule still applies.
Merch Vendors Read Below
All Merchandise Vendors MUST carry Celtic related items or hand crafted items that are Celtic related items.
We do not allow multiples of the same kind of vendors. We want it to be fair for our vendors.
Some Vendors are artisans who specialize in different Celtic crafting mediums, some or more like stores.
Artisans that have mastered a skill that only sells one group of things like Celtic Pottery or Celtic Leather items for example are very near and dear to our hearts. For us it is wonderful to see a craftsman bring our culture back to life and into the present.
If you think you fit in then I want to hear from you. Although we have just a few booths left, I want to fill it with someone who shares the same love of our Culture & Heritage.
