Our Mission

Robert the Bruce
King of Scotland

The Saint Andrew’s Society of Maine is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the Preservation and Promotion of Scottish Culture and Heritage through Education, Outreach, Scholarship, and Performance. Our organization is committed to hosting events throughout the year that celebrate and showcase the rich traditions of Scotland, including our renowned Maine Highland Games & Scottish Festival™, as well as Robert Burns Events, Tartan Day Celebrations, Cèilidhs, and Scottish Military Tattoos.

Our primary goal is to support the advancement of traditional Scottish arts, language, and cultural education by providing scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional skills and a commitment to preserving Scottish heritage. We recognize the importance of fostering and supporting the next generation of leaders in these fields, and we are proud to offer our Scholarship Program to deserving students.

The Saint Andrew’s Society of Maine relies on the generous support of our members and donors to carry out our mission. We are committed to promoting Scottish culture and heritage for generations to come, and we invite all who share our passion to join us in this important work.
